Rebound Relationships.

You met her at a bar and were instantly enamored by her exquisite features; you made a move and got lucky. World looks magical to you, you find her so caring and understanding. She has an important influence in almost every decision you make. She is the one you have been looking for. You are having a happy life until her period arrives and she cries because of the acute pain in her stomach and her irrational behavior (influenced by mood swings) annoys you more than anything. You bring her chocolates and she feels better; wrapped up in your arm she sleeps tight; you look at her serene face and utter ‘She is the one I have always been looking for’. Life goes on; you celebrate every anniversary (including weekly and monthly ones) with loads of love and joy.
But with time you start realizing things are not falling in place and you need a change. A change- like what? A new sweater for the winters or a new job? No you need a new partner with whom you can discuss about your contemporary girlfriend. You need someone; in short you are looking for a Rebound Relationship.

A rebound relationship is one that occurs shortly after the break-up of a significant love relationship. If you are in a relationship but have distanced yourself emotionally from your relationship partner, you may begin a rebound relationship before you even leave the relationship you are in. If you move quickly from a long lasting relationship into another relationship then you are probably in a “rebound relationship."

Rebound Relationship is not infidelity, it is just one of those Choose the Best from option available to you.
Few Don’ts to be followed in a Rebound Relationship: -
·       You are not supposed to judge your new partner on the basis of the experience you had with your Ex.  It is human nature to hover over past and make present difficult to live. Relationship experts suggest ‘never compare your relationships’; comparing things may make it difficult for you to survive, you will keep flitting between present and past.
·       Focus on the positives of your past relationships; this boosts your confidence about yourself-it says ‘you are worthy’.
·       Treat the new partner just the way you expect yourself to be treated. Do not allow the ghost of past to harm your dream future.
Before going into a rebound relationship consider if it was clear your prospective reboundee was really into you long before you broke up, consider the possibility that s/he is only attracted to people who are emotionally unavailable (and thus will lose interest in you once you fall in love with him/her). S/he probably also has no regard for other people's feelings (namely your ex's) if s/he was hitting on you while you were involved with someone else. Would you really want to invest in a relationship with someone who overtly pursues relationships with men or women involved in committed relationships? If you don't think it would work out in the long-run, don't waste your time just because you feel lonely and someone is obviously interested.
